Dinner Tale and Pictures!

Even with my ankle taped, I'm not ready to run around for dinner, especially since I didn't even think about food until 9:00. So I went downstairs to the very good and reasonably priced House of Tang. There I met Tony Cheng, "assistant manager-Chinese Restaurant" (I suppose this has some rank attached to it? Or there's another assistant manager Tony Cheng of a non-Chinese restaurant). Tony Cheung really wants you to enjoy your meal. Really, really wants you to enjoy it. He will come by and repeatedly offer you a fork and knife before the food has come out (so you don't look silly or feel uncomfortable), will fill your tea cup after a sip. Once you're done dining he'll ask you how your meal was, he'll offer you the dessert menu, he'll give you free melon slices, he'll give you almond soup, he'll continue to refill your cup, he'll walk you to your elevator and then give you his card so you can mention it at your next meal.

Gosh darn it, when you're on Tony's watch nobody doesn't enjoy dinner!

Anyhoo, photos!

Crossing over the bridge into Central, a landfill project.

Paint peeling to show old advertisements.

Lion! and the peak "wok" tower circa 1986.

It does not look enough like weiner to warrant the hike. I just saved you to two hours of your Hong Kong vacation.

Me looking awkward and pose-y on the peak. (See Aunt Elva, I am getting photos of myself).

That's all for now. Must rest.
